Join more than 500 volunteers in LIVE UNITED t-shirts as we pull weeds, paint buildings, and clean sidewalks throughout Thurston County for Days of Caring.

This amazing event fosters team spirit, giving back, and supporting organizations in need. Since 1992, Days of Caring has brought our community together to demonstrate the power of collective action.

Days of Caring is about team building, giving back and helping organizations in need and has become an event that shuts down offices as employees gather outside of work to make a difference together.

Day of Caring was established in 1992 as the single largest day of volunteerism in Thurston County to increase awareness of human service organizations and demonstrate how people working together for the common good helps accomplish great things.

"United Way of Thurston County works for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community. Day of Caring provides an opportunity for hundreds of supporters from our workplace campaigns, individual and corporate donors, and the community to join with us and enhance their philanthropy through volunteerism. We'll tackle numerous projects for nonprofits throughout the community, and bring the muscle to get them done," said Chris Wells, Executive Director of United Way of Thurston County.

Seasoned Day of Caring volunteer teams like Anchor Bank, Olympia Federal Savings and Puget Sound Energy will participate in projects for the Family Support Center of South Sound, SafePlace, Thurston County Food Bank and more.

Volunteers will participate in over 20 different projects ranging from painting and landscaping low-income, disabled individuals' homes, harvesting food bank gardens, and invasive plant pulling at locations throughout Thurston County. It's a great way to engage your work team!
