Kerrytown Concert House is honored to welcome back concert pianist Julia Siciliano for her 2nd annual Siciliano Salon Series at the House! This season offers three separate chamber music concerts with world-class musicians and compelling programming. For this first installment, Julia is thrilled to introduce KCH audiences to new Detroit area resident and fabulous violinist Sonja Bosca-Harasim! Sonja and Julia will present a composer who, like Beethoven, went completely deaf by the end of her career: Dame Ethel Smyth (1858-1944), who was an English composer, child prodigy, and well known feminist activist. Her Violin Sonata, full of passion, contemplation, and sturm und drang, seems a perfect pairing for Beethoven, whose 2nd and 10th Sonatas will also be on this program. Join us for a compelling afternoon of chamber music in KCH’s salon setting.
