The Apple Barn and Bake Shop is excited to announce the Second Annual Blueberry Festival. Following the incredible success of last year's inaugural event, which inspired our jam packed 2024 event schedule, we are thrilled to bring the community together once again for a day of family fun and celebration.

Event Highlights:

-- Free Blueberry Picking: Enjoy a day of free blueberry picking in our beautiful fields behind the barn.

-- Live Music: Featuring the Hale Mountain Band, providing a lively soundtrack to the festivities.

-- Incredible Vendors: Ice cream, food trucks, magic acts, balloon-making, and more. Local artisans, crafters, and a special section for young entrepreneurs will showcase their unique products. (Any young vendors interested in participating are still welcome)

-- Blueberry Bake-Off Competition: Show off your baking skills in our first-ever Blueberry Bake-Off! Participants must submit their blueberry-themed baked items, with enough for 12 judging pieces, by 12:00 PM. The winner will receive $150, a year's supply of apple cider donuts, and bragging rights. Registration forms are available at the Apple Barn and Bake Shop or on our website.

-- Blueberry-Themed Delights: Vendors and our concession stand will offer blueberry-themed products, baked goods, and signature beverages.

-- Family Activities: Games, a scavenger hunt, a huge bubble area, a corn pit playtime, and more to keep the kids entertained.

The festival grounds, located directly behind the barn, provide a perfect, safe setting away from bustling Route 7. With ample parking and additional parking available with signage on the day of the event, attendees can relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

"Seeing families and community members enjoying our space inspired me to continue hosting events that connect people to our farm and the amazing products produced right here in Southern Vermont."

In addition to the festival activities, the Apple Barn and Bake Shop will be open, offering our usual delights including apple cider, donuts, pies, baked goods, and more. There will also be Apple Barn vendors offering samples throughout the store.

This rain-or-shine event embodies what the Apple Barn and Bake Shop is all about: connecting our community to our farms and artisans as well as the incredible local products they offer.
