Clinton Half Marathon

Located in scenic Clinton, Iowa, runners can choose a race distance of 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon. The race starts along 5th Avenue South in Historic Downtown Clinton, quickly traversing Riverview Drive, paralleling the mighty Mississippi, with challenging hill climbs leading to Eagle Point Park’s majestic overlook of the widest part of the Mississippi River!  This is one of the most exciting racing experiences of the season!

Race Day Schedule

6:00 - 7:00am - Race-Day Registration

7:30am - Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K Run/Walk begins!

8:30am - 5K Awards Ceremony

9:30am - 10K Awards Ceremony

10:15am - Half Marathon Awards Ceremony

10:30am - Race cut-off

Award times are approximate and based on the availability of results and completion of all age groups.

Participants in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races may join the Hy-Vee Post-Race Party upon completion of their race.

COURSE ROUTES

Enjoy the START & FINISH! Having the start and finish in the 200 block of 5th Avenue South means you can cheer on your friends, see the medal presentations, enjoy the after party and be close to your parking! 

Please listen to race day announcements to stay aware of any last-minute route changes. There is a 3-hour guarantee for course time limits and protection on the 10K and Half Marathon routes.

1/2 Marathon - 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ 

Awards

Awards will be given for 1st-3rd place overall, as well as 1st-3rd places in each age group.

Men's and Women's Half Marathon 1st place overall will receive a $100 cash prize.

Men's and Women's 10K 1st place overall will receive a $50 cash prize.

Men's and Women's 5K 1st place overall will receive a $25 cash prize.

Must be present at the award ceremony to receive prizes. Runners may opt to decline prize money. Each finisher will receive a finisher medal.
