For the second year, BMoCA is presenting a community-driven installation to celebrate Día de los Muertos. A series of ofrendas will be displayed upstairs at BMoCA from October 27-November 3, each made by a local community group in partnership with the museum.
Celebrate the opening of this community installation on Sunday, October 27 with dance, music, traditional holiday refreshments, and fun for the whole family! On November 2, take part in a hands-on workshop for all ages to learn more about the four components traditionally included in an ofrenda. All Día de los Muertos at BMoCA programs are free and open to all.
Community Partners:
- Adriana Paola Palacios Luna, Luna Cultura
- Harvest of All First Nations
- Safehouse Progressive Alliance For Non-Violence (SPAN)
- Lizeth Guadalupe (at the Bus Stop Gallery in NoBo Arts District)
Generously supported by the City of Boulder’s Housing and Human Services Department and First Bank.
