Georgetown will be mesmerized by local Sierra Foothills band, HipNosis. Fronted by a tight, powerful horn section and soaring, soulful vocals, and driven by an edgy rhythm section that lays down an irresistible groove, HipNosis delivers a polished performance that ranges from funk, jazz and soul through blues and rock with a bit of gospel thrown in for good measure. The original arrangements, soloists and top tier musicianship keep the sound fresh and compelling. The electrifying vibe of HipNosis keeps audiences connected throughout the performance with synchronicity of song choices and purposeful highlighting of every player. Tickets for this special concert are available in advance through Eventbrite.com, and will be available at the gate on Sunday, September 8th, at 2:30 pm for $20. People with online advance paid tickets and members of MOTD will be allowed into the amphitheater at 2 pm. People paying cash at the gate can enter at 2:30 pm. There are no credit card sales at the gate. The Music will begin at 3:00 and run till 5:00 pm. Food and beverages will be available from Chunks of Heaven on site.
