Grandparents are invited to join AARP Virginia to learn effective ways to maximize quality time with their grandchildren in a museum setting. Virginia Museum of Transportation Activities Coordinator Alicia Hollingsworth will share dynamic and creative ideas for grandparents to engage in meaningful ways while exploring museums with their grandchildren.

This 45-minute presentation will cover proper planning, museum selection, invitation, tour route, exhibit focus and the incorporation of personal storytelling. A museum can offer a multitude of life lessons in addition to a plethora of facts. With a little forethought and a well-defined plan, a museum adventure can include the passing along of family values and legacy in addition to creating memories for all.
