Getting to Bolinas from anywhere has always been challenging: In 1910, a fellow described traveling from Oakland to Bolinas via two ferries, two trains, a horse-drawn stage, a boat across Bolinas Lagoon, and then walking into town. From Indigenous trails through bear country to the first roads and autos to the modern missing road sign and GPS, this exhibit, first presented in 2015, traces the fascinating history of getting to this unique community.
