Being an artist is my second career after many years working in and advocating for libraries – an academic library, school libraries and public libraries. I have lived in Easthampton over 40 years and have been active in the local art scene. I am an artist member of Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence as are my fellow exhibitors here Tony(a) Lemos and Whendy Carter.

I create art to better understand the world in its myriad of complexities and challenges. How do I convey the messages that are important to me? The location of Hosmer Gallery within a public library is meaningful to my work that hangs here. I look to published or historic documentation to gain inspiration, whether these sources are maps, poems, words, images, book titles or ideas.
