A Livermore-Pleasanton Railroad Journey Through Art and History
The “Rails Connect” group exhibition was an open call to artists and photographers for art that highlights Livermore and the Amador Valley’s rich railway history and culture. Supporting the theme of “railroads,” the exhibition will include imagery of locomotives, local landscapes, and related subject matters. This group show is a collaboration between Livermore Valley Arts and the City of Pleasanton. The Harrington Gallery features approximately 60 works of varied mediums from 29 local artists. Livermore’s joint exhibition will be located at the Bankhead Theater’s UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery.
In addition to the exhibited art, there will be a model train system on display at the Harrington Gallery. This installation will be provided by the San Ramon Valley Branch Modelers group, and will include a portable N-scale modular layout of Alamo to Radum which will be operating every Saturday during the exhibition.
