Celebrate the New Year with Oregon State Parks and a park staff guided First Day Hike through open meadows and fields, cottonwood and conifer forests, and along Lost Creek and the Middle Fork Willamette River.  It’s a peaceful way to enter the New Year. We’ll watch for birds, beaver, deer, and possibly even elk!

Trail Length/Difficulty: Approximately 3 mile loop along Middle Fork Willamette River and Channel Lake. Relatively flat, easy hike on compacted gravel trail.

Accessibility Considerations: Trail is compacted gravel but there may be soft, muddy areas during this time of year.  Alternative options are available.

Bring warm clothing like gloves, hat, and jacket; boots as trail may be muddy; and drinking water.

Please leave dogs at home.

No registration required. Snacks and collector lapel pins provided by park staff.
