This First Day Hike will give you a look behind the scenes at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. On this guided hike, Craft Director Jeanette Larson and park interpreters will share the history of the park and the region. You'll hike through some of the natural areas of the park in addition to getting a look at the Heritage Herb Garden greenhouse, Craft Village, and Ozark Highlands Theater. The walk/hike will be about a mile total, with several steep sections, and is mostly on pavement. We will make several stops along the way to tour and explore the many areas of the park.
Meet at the large parking lot by the park welcome sign at 10 a.m. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water to stay hydrated for this two-hour outing.
