Programs feature well-loved classics and new compositions, performed by some of the finest chamber musicians in the world, free and open to all. First Mondays are fresh and full of imaginative pairings of well-loved classics and new works, performed in one of the finest places on the planet to hear music of this caliber: NEC’s own Jordan Hall.
Tonight's program includes Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, Barber's Despite and Still, two Fauré songs - Après un rêve and Clair de lune as well as his Piano Quartet in C Minor, op. 15. The performers are: Richard Watson, trumpet; Amanda Hardy, oboe; Aldo Abreu, recorder; the Parker Quartet (violinists Daniel Chong and Ken Hamao, violist Jessica Bodner; cellist Kee-Hyun Kim); cellist Lluís Claret; bassist Thomas van Dyck; harpsichordist Oscar Jiang; pianists Tanya Blaich and Max Levinson; and soprano Heidi Stober.
