Our event includes local and regional teams coming together to race against each other in a series of heats in 11- or 21-person boats. We partner with Pan Am Dragon Boat out of Tampa.

Novice teams are provided with instruction and all of the necessary equipment to race. Included in your team registration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race. All the necessary equipment, including the boat, paddles, life vests, a drum, and a professional steersman/coach is included for your practice session and for your races on the day of the event.

A great team-building experience and great exercise for everyone 14 years and older. Get your business, community or school group together to race an 11 or 21 person boat! Minimum 3 races planned (Mother Nature permitting).

Club teams and spectators alike have raved about the location and organization of this event in the past. The festival is focused on community involvement, our veterans, our school kids, charitable giving, and of course, healthy competition.

Proceeds from the annual Dragon Boat Festival help fund Citrus County Education Foundation programs that support the students and teachers of the Citrus County School District.
