Little Flower School will be hosting the 9th Annual LFS Patriot Day 5k on Saturday, September 7 2024. We are very excited about this community event and LFS fundraiser. At Little Flower School, our commitment to the growth of the whole child is achieved through a focus on core values: faith, knowledge and service. This event will complement our environment that encourages service to each other, our school, and especially to our community.

This annual event is held each year near Patriot Day to honor our local patriots- military, firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, and members of the medical industry. Participants are invited to run or walk the 5K on site beginning at Little Flower School or to participate virtually from wherever they are, if preferred. Children 10 & under are invited to participate in our 1-mile Kids' Run on our Little Flower School grounds.

All registrants are given an opportunity to vote for a St. Mary’s County “Patriot Organization of the Year” which will receive 15% percent of the event’s proceeds. Nominations are also solicited on our website for the “Patriot of the Year,” selected by our middle school students and recognized at our opening ceremony.  An additional 10% of our proceeds will be donated to the charity of the winner’s choice. Past events have generated >$8,000.00 for Hollywood Fire Department, Second District VFD & Rescue Squad, Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, Catholic Charities, St. Baldrick Foundation Peyton Hero Fund, Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, and Leonardtown Rescue Squad.
