Celebrating 77 Years of Persimmon Traditions
The Mitchell Persimmon Festival began in 1947 when Mitchell native, George Bishop dreamed of creating an event to bring together the small community.
Schedule Of Events:
7am - 10am: Pancake Breakfast
Masonic Lodge - 309 N. 9th St.
Start your Saturday off right with a full course breakfast made by men at the Masonic Lodge.
8:30am: Persimmon 5K
Mitchell High School Front Parking Lot 1000 Bishop Blvd.
Join us for the 5k run and walk! There are several categories. Registration begins at 7:30 am. $20 admission.

8am - 11am: Persimmon Pudding and Novelty Contesi
First Church of God - 405 N. 12th St.
Sign up for the persimmon pudding and novelty contest! Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

9am - 12pm: Tri-County Tractor and Equipment Show
5th and 6th Street
Bring your antique tractor and/or machinery to show all of our guests how it was in the good old days! Open to the public.
