6th Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival
Immersive Theatre Experience for Grades 6 – 12
The Department of Theatre and Dance at Frostburg State University will host the 6th Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival on January 24 and 25, 2025 in FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center.
The 2025 MMTF weekend will engage courageous artists through new and exciting workshops, a keynote experience, awards ceremony, dance and, new this year, an open mic event to share art!
The Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival promotes and supports regional performing arts programs by creating development and networking opportunities for young artists and their teachers. The MMTF is open to kids in grades 6 - 12. In 2024, artists from twenty regional schools and programs attended the festival.
The cost of the festival is $50 and includes meals and refreshments on both Friday and Saturday. All registered attendees will receive a festival t-shirt. For information, please contact the Department of Theatre and Dance at 301.687.4145 or [email protected].
The Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival is made possible due to generous support from the FSU Foundation’s Catherine R. Gira Campus to Community Fund and the Woodward and Virginia Pealer Endowed Fund, the Allegany Arts Council and 91.9 WFWM Radio.
