A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.  Location 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

There will be NO early packet pickup.  Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area. 

BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive (1) an additional door prize ticket.  NEW ITEMS ONLY:  dog/cat food (dry or wet), dog/cat treats, dog/cat toys, cat litter, puppy pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon) or other needed pet supplies for rescued animals.

DOG SAFETY:  please remember this is a 1 or 3.1 mile race depending on your registered event.  Consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt.  Water for the dogs will be available at start/finish.  

NOTE:  Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.  Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Dogs who accompany their runner/walker on the 5K Run/Walk MAY register their dog to compete for awards in the Canine Event category (additional $5 event fee applies).  All owners wishing to have their dogs compete for awards must register in the Canine Event and must bib/chip their dog for timing purposes.  The Canine Awards will be for the 5K Run Walk only.  

The 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut start at 8:00 am on Saturday. August 31, 2024.  Same starting line as the 5K event.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

The 5K starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT.  This course follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 5k event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.
