Hybrid meeting (in person and virtual)

At the September 9, 2024 program of Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC) Rob Boston, Senior Advisor for American United for Separation of Church and State (AU) will discuss Christian Nationalism and the best responses to its threats. Boston describes Christian Nationalism as a dangerous theocratic movement marked by extremism, the promotion of divisive politics, the deliberate spread of false information and demonization of certain classes of individuals. Boston will explore this movement and will outline strategies for responses that are in line with humanist values.

In addition to his current role at AU, Rob Boston is the former Editor of Church & State magazine, author of four books on the subject, and a frequent guest on prominent television and radio shows.

This meeting is free and open to all.  Join us at the Wilton (Connecticut) Quaker Meetinghouse for the presentation and come to the social hour beforehand.  Gourmet pizza and refreshments will be served from 6:00-6:45 PM. The presentation will start at 7:00.  We will also be recording and broadcasting this meeting virtually via Zoom for anyone who is unable to join us in person.
