The 13th Annual Sandy Erickson Race for Christian Education 5K + Fun Run.  This event is a family-friendly event with a competitive edge. The Kids Fun Run is approximately a one-mile loop, geared towards Kindergarten through Second grade.  The 5K is timed with a chip for those wanting some competition!

We run in honor of Sandy Erickson, who taught 1st grade for over 20 years at Collegedale Academy.  When diagnosed with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig' Disease), Sandy maintained her cheery attitude and sense of humor, exemplifying Christ's selflessness.  Proceeds go to the A.L.S. Foundation and primarily the Worthy Student Fund at Collegedale Academy for grades K-12.

1-1:30pm - Carnival Closes temporarily for Kids Fun Run and 5K Announcements
1:30 pm - Kids Fun Run (pre k - 2nd grade)
2:00 pm - 5k Run/Walk
3:00 pm - Awards Ceremony

Course Info:

The Race begins and ends at Collegedale Academy’s Middle School building, located at 4856 College Drive East Collegedale, TN.  The course is flat with several rolling hills that includes running mainly on Collegedale Academy’s campus.

Fun Before the Run Carnival:

Carnival games, food, treats, face-painting and more will be set up in front of the high and middle schools with our sponsor booths.  It is open from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.  You will need to buy tickets to participate.

Cost:

$25 until October 10th, midnight
$30 October 11th - November 3 - 5K ONLY
$35 on Race Day (Nov. 3) - 5K ONLY
No Increase For Fun Run, stays at $25!
