The 23rd annual Smith Point Bridge 5K Run for Literacy will take place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. The magnificent backdrop of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and white sand beaches make this race a landmark event on the Long Island racing calendar.
Proceeds help support the Community Library’s Family Literacy Project, the William Floyd High School Scholarship Fund, and the Reach Out and Read program at the Sun River Health Center.
The William Floyd High School Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to college bound students. Reach Out & Read promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms by giving new books to families and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud to their children.
