St. Mary of Mount Carmel Italian Festival

The annual Italian Festival returns July 19-21.

There’s great food, entertainment, games for the kids, souvenirs, a flea market and, of course, our famous pizza fritta and the Buona Fortuna drawing for the $10,000 grand prize.

Here’s all you need to know:

Entertainment

Schedule:

LaBanda Rossa (Red Band) 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Buona Fortuna raffle

Our annual Buona Fortuna raffle campaign is underway. Tickets are $20 with a grand prize of $10,000. Second prize is $2,500 and third prize is $1,000.

You can purchase tickets after all Masses, from ticket sellers, the parish office on the festival grounds.

Contact Leigh D’Agostino at 315-737-5965 with questions. Ticket sellers must return their money and tickets by July 18.

Cafe needs your cookies

Once again, we are asking for your delicious homemade cookies to be sold at the Cafe during the festival weekend.

Items wanted for Flea Market

The popular Flea Market returns to the Parish Festival.

Check your basement, attic and garage for gently used items you no longer need. Items that WILL NOT be accepted (so don’t try to donate them) are: clothing, shoes, large furniture, VHS tapes, books (only children’s, religious and cookbooks will be accepted), stuffed animals, large electronics, televisions or computers.

Items broken or damaged also will not be accepted. Please bag small toys.

Walk for Mary’s Children

Following the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 21, the annual Walk for Mary’s Children will take place, weather permitting, around our parish campus.

Those walking and others can either donate nonperishable food items or make a monetary donation to the Mount Carmel Society. The society will donate the food to a local organization. The last time the society did this, it used the money to purchase more food to add to what was donated.

This is just another way to honor Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
