We're sprouting a brand new, spud-tacular, FREE event, TATER FEST in Mount Jackson, VA (Home of ROUTE 11 Potato Chips!)

Join us on Saturday, at Lions Park for a day of fun fit for the whole family! It's a celebration of all things potato, and we're serving up a heaping helping of activities:

10AM: ‍The Crew's Couch Potato 5K? JK! It's one mile. We're couch potatoes, after all. Your $25 cost ($30 day of) includes a tee shirt, bag of route 11 chips, and $5 off in the festival food court! Rotary is sponsoring the couch potato lounge if you just can't muster the energy (we get it).

11AM: Granny's Tater Salad Contest (who has the best spud salad in town? We are looking for 10 contestants!

12PM: Hot Potato, Hot Potato! (avoid the tater!) Location: Tater Tot Zone - all can join to win Route 11 Chips!

1PM: Lil Miss Sweet Potato and Mr. Spud Muffin Pageant. This one is going to be the cutest! There will be a stage by the tee ball field for this one and our emcee will be Miss Shenandoah County Fair!

2PM: Randy's Potato Launch Competition (can you send a spud soaring?). You read that right - it's a handyman's dream! Reach out today if you think you can build the best potato catapult!

2:30PM: ShenPACO Potato Sack Races (get ready to hop!) Location: Tater Tot Zone

3PM: French Fry Eating Contest (are you a fry fanatic?). Signups will happen beginning at 11AM at the main info booth! We will have 3 age brackets and a limit to 10 people per age group. Details are still TBD but most likely folks will have a pound of fries to eat as fast as they can!

Plus, all-day fun! Live Music by the Alex Hilton Band, Food Trucks, Beer and Wine Garden, ‍ Farmer's Market, Tater-Tot Kids Zone, Tractor Show and Agricultural Education Exhibits!
