Turkeys and hams and pies, oh my! Come join us for the 21st annual Thankful Turkey 5K & Kids Run. Run well in this unique race and take home part of your Thanksgiving dinner - a turkey for 1st place in each age group, a ham for 2nd place or a pie for 3rd! All proceeds will go back into the San Marcos community to benefit local and Lions' charities and youth programs.

Schedule:
08:00 am - Late registration and packet pickup
09:00 am - 5K Run/Walk
09:45 am - Kids Run

The 5K is on a rolling out-and-back course on McCarty Lane; the course has an elevation change of 85 feet (highest to lowest points). The Kids Run will be within the church parking lot.

5K entries received by Monday, 11/11/24 are guaranteed a “Thankful Turkey 5K” T-shirt. Shirts and/or requested sizes may not be available for entries received after that date or on race day. Kids Run does not include a shirt.

Packet Pickup and Late Registration
Onsite race-day registration for both the 5K and the Kids Run will be available. Race packets may be picked up on race day only at the registration area beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Award Categories
The top 3 male and female finishers in each age division of the 5K will receive awards as follows: 1st place, a turkey; 2nd place, a ham; and 3rd place, a pie. The overall male and female winners and the male and female Masters winners (40 and over) will receive a turkey and a medal. The awards presentation will be at 10:30 a.m. Participants in the Kids Run will receive an award as they finish.
