On July 15, we start our rockin’ summer-long run of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show. To celebrate this legendary musical’s 50^th anniversary -- which includes such unforgettable songs as “I’m Just a Sweet Transvestite,” “Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul,” and “Toucha, Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me” -- we’ve gathered an astonishingly talented group of performers, most of whom are making their Provincetown Theater debuts!

Madison Mayer, who played the lovely Johanna in our production of Sweeney Todd in 2019, returns to portray the perky, naïve Janet Weiss. Bringing her real-life boyfriend to The Rocky Horror Show, Zack Johnson is playing her staunch, onstage boyfriend, Brad Majors.

In the story, the young couple find themselves stranded with a flat tire during a thunderstorm in the woods. Naturally, they knock on the door of the nearest castle (as one does in a thunderstorm), only to be welcomed into a glamorous underworld of transgressive creatures who’ll change their lives forever -- in one momentous rock & rolling night.

Leader of the mysterious castle-dwelling creatures-of-the-night is, of course, the iconic Frank-N-Furter, bursting on to our boards by the dazzling New York-based indie pop singer Boy Radio.

Filling out Frank’s macabre circle of revelers are his alien cohorts Riff Raff and Magenta, played by the dynamic duo of Loren Lee and Hilarie Tamar, as well as those rough and ready tag-along party animals, the tap-dancing Columbia, played by Devon Whitney, and biker boy Eddie, played by Alex Sesenton.

Of course, no late-night party at the castle would be complete without a live rock band -- lead by our extraordinary musical director John Thomas -- or by the birth of Frank-N-Furter’s adorably hunky “creation,” brought to life in P’town by the adorably hunky Evan Montgomery!
