The Veterans Council of Craven County invites veterans, their spouses or primary caregivers and Gold Star Families to attend the Veterans Day Luncheon on November 9th at the Temple Church, 1500 Kingdom Way, New Bern, NC. This free luncheon is to honor the service and sacrifice of nearly 11,000 Craven County Veteran. It will commence at 11:00 am and end at 1:00 pm. Lunch will be served at Noon.

The program will commence at 11:00 am and consist of patriotic music, the Veterans’ Day Prayers by Pastor Keith Whitfield, the presentation of the Colors by the New Bern Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Color Guard, a recognition of the POW/MIAs, and an Awards Ceremony. Lunch will be served at Noon by the Richard Dobbs Spaight National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) and the Craven County Hospice volunteers.

Please bring proof of service: a North Carolina Driver’s License with Veteran notation, DD-214, VA Medical Card, or membership card to a Craven County Veteran Organization. Veterans with mobility needs will be assisted by our volunteers.
