The Cole Land Transportation Museum is proud to host its annual Veterans Day Service on Monday, November 11th. The service, held in the Museum’s lobby, marks the museum's final day of the season and is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the many contributions of our veterans.
This year's event will feature a concert by the Bangor Band, filling listeners’ ears with patriotic melodies. Two special guest speakers will also share words of gratitude and reflection, reminding all attendees of the importance of Veterans Day.
One focal point of the event, will be presentations from the winners of the museum’s annual essay contest, reading their essays on "What Freedom Means to Me." Speeches from the contestants, all students from the Museum's Veteran Interview program, will feature heartfelt reflections on the value of freedom and the sacrifices made by veterans to secure it.
The Cole Land Transportation Museum has a longstanding tradition of honoring veterans, and this service provides an opportunity for the community to come together in recognition of their most valued contributions. As always, Museum admission is free on Veterans Day, and all are welcome to attend and participate in this meaningful event.
