Join us for the Premier holiday event on the Crystal Coast at the 12th annual gingerbread festival, December 14th–15th, 2024. All proceeds benefit the Crystal Coast hospice house. In addition to viewing this year’s awesome gingerbread entries and beautifully decorated crab pot Christmas trees, kids of all ages will be treated to loads of holiday fun; Santa visits, face, painting, kids, games, and crafts, including gingerbread house building! And be sure to visit the shop and bake shop for plenty of sweet treats treats.

Preview Party:
Come join us for a night of festive fun to kick off the 12th annual gingerbread festival with special musical guest, The Embers! All proceeds benefit the Crystal Coast Hospice House. In addition to a night of dancing fun, you’ll get a sneak peek at the awesome entries in this year‘s Gingerbread Competition and the beautifully decorated crab pot Christmas trees. Tickets Are not yet available for purchase. Beverages will be provided as well as heavy hors d’oeuvres.

Gingerbread House, Competition and Display:
Gingerbread enthusiast of all ages are invited to compete for a piece of over $3000 in cash prizes. There are seven categories for , individual or team entries: professional, amateur, teen, youth, child, Santas seniors, and pint size. Entries are not  limited to the structure of a house. Competitors are encouraged to uniquely design their entry. Completed entries must be delivered to the Civic Center on Friday, between 10 AM and 2 PM. Entries will be on display for public viewing at the gingerbread festival from 11 AM to 5 PM.

6 PM to 8 PM - The Santa Clause Family Movie Night:
Come watch The Santa Clause! Join us at the Gingerbread  Festival for Family Movie Night. from . Tickets are $10 per person. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Pajamas are encouraged!, Hot Coco and popcorn are included in the ticket price.

Gingerbread Festival Award Ceremony:
Please join us for the 2024 gingerbread festival award ceremony at 4 to 5 PM. In addition to declaring  the winners for both the gingerbread entries and the decorated crab pot Christmas trees, you will be treated to a holiday concert by the Carteret Community  Sunshine Band .
