Join us for the 38th Annual Festival of Trees at Maceli's in beautiful downtown Lawrence, Kansas. More than 55 trees, 25 wreaths, and gingerbread houses, donated by local individuals and groups, will be sold by silent and live auction.

The annual Lawrence Festival of Trees, held during the holiday season, is the primary fundraising event for The O'Connell Children's Shelter. Businesses, clubs, children's groups, families and organizations donate Christmas trees and wreaths to be displayed for the entire Lawrence community to enjoy. The trees and wreaths are all decorated with inventive and whimsical themes in mind, and are auctioned off at the gala Festival of Trees event.

Schedule of Events

Breakfast with Santa
Breakfast with Santa on will be offered on Saturday November 30 and Saturday December 7.

Cookies with Santa
Visit Santa, have a cookie, and have your picture taken on December 2 or 3 from 430-630. There is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and children older than 3. Families of four or more are $20.

Cocktails and Carols
Enjoy holiday themed cocktails while viewing the trees and listening to carols performed by local artists. Suggested donation of $10 per person. Saturday November 30 from 8 - 10 pm.

Holiday Trivia and Ugly Sweater Contest
Test your holiday knowledge at this trivia event on December 4. $100 for a team of 4; $25 each for additional contestant. Winning and worst teams earn prizes. Ugly sweater contest too!

Auction Party
Don't miss the auction party on Friday December 6, held at Maceli's, 1031 New Hampshire St, Lawrence, Kansas. Tickets are $75 per person for general admission; $100 for reserved admission, and VIP tickets are $150 per person.

Mitten Tree
Each year, the Festival of Trees showcases a "Mitten Tree" with the wishes of families in need in your area. Join us at Maceli's during viewing hours to pick out your "mitten" with wishes, including family members' ages and sizes, so you may personally shop for your adopted family. Instructions, restrictions and due date will be provided so you can shop for your neighbors in need.
