Melon Quest Scavenger Hunt
Melon Quest is a team scavenger hunt journey that will take place during the Melon Festival weekend!  Each team can have up to 4 members. Your team will go on a scavenger hunt to complete the tasks and the answer questions about the Howell businesses and the Melon Festival. Melon Quest will be run through the Goosechase app. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes including gift cards, goodies bags, and more!  Winners will be announced the following week.
$15/team (Resident)
$20/team (Non-Resident)

7:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m: Concert at The Courthouse
A variety of local area musicians take center stage each Friday night throughout the summer on the Courthouse lawn! This free event features rock, country folk and blues entertainment. Celebrating 24 years of bringing music to Livingston County!

3:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m: Art At The Opera House - Fine Arts Show
The Livingston Arts Council invites you to come and enjoy our 17th Annual Fine Arts Show. This show is held during the Howell Melon Festival on the first floor of the Howell Opera House with all the artists present to discuss their work and answer questions.  There will be painting, jewelry, digital prints, photography and more, with all the displayed art available for purchase. We also have a kids "make-and-take" art table and a community murals for the whole family to contribute to! So come in, walk through, and find your new favorite piece of art.

From Gaga to Guns and Roses and Bruno Mars to the Beach Boys - Hello Weekend is a nonstop, hit after hit, party band! They not only bring high-energy sound with Christina's heart stopping vocals, but they bring a captivating stage presence and an overall transfixing performance, the likes of which, you won't soon forget.

11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m: Flint Scottish Pipe Band
Keeping Scottish tradition alive in Michigan for over 100 years! Performances include; parades and stage performances all over the region. As well as the Michigan Renaissance Festival during its Celtic themed weekends. Flint Scottish competes in pipe band competitions and highland events all over the Great Lakes area from Michigan to Ontario.

5:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m: Electric Redline
Electric Redline artfully blends rock, blues, funk, soul and classic country tunes from the last 50 years into a show that’ll keep you moving all night!

Fast Action Motorsports at S. Michigan Ave
10AM, 11:30AM, 1PM, 2:30PM, & 4:30PM
Fast Action Motorsports RC Racing cars are back by popular demand at this year’s Howell Melon Festival!  Get behind the wheel and into the winner's circle in this fast-paced stock car racing game!  Watch them fight to the finish in a pedal to the metal tournament before they hand the wheel over and give everyone a chance at victory!  Challenge your friends to a race and see who comes out on top.

Come show us you’re cowboy enough to ride the Mechanical Bull at the 63rd Annual Howell Melon Festival!
Cost: $5 suggested donation.

12:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m: Cornhowell Tournament

The Howell Chamber of Commerce, Mainstreet DDA, and Howell Recreation are excited to announce the 3rd annual CornHowell Tournament!
Location: State Street Lot in Downtown Howell (next to the historic Livingston County Courthouse), in the festival tent area ( No Outside Alcohol Permitted In Festival Tent Area, you will be able to purchase drinks on site)

9:00 a.m - 8:00 p.m: Craft Vendors at Grand River (Downtown Howell)
We’re excited to bring vendors back to Grand River this year on Saturday and Sunday!  Check out a variety of craft and other business vendors.

9:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m: Friends of the library melon fest book sale at howell carnegie library, 314 w. Grand river ave.

Howell Carnegie Library Activities:
12:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m: Big Blue Blocks (All Ages)
Everyone will enjoy building, exploring, and playing with "Big Blue Blocks" on the library lawn.

12:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m: Mini Tarot Readings (Adults Only)
Adults can enjoy mini tarot reading sessions led by Barbie and Ken of Vibology. Tarot readings will be first come, first served from 12-3pm on the library lawn. In case of poor weather, the readings will be held in Study Rooms 1 and 2.

12:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m: Macrame Plant Hanger
Adults and teens can create a macrame plant hanger on the library lawn from 12-3 pm, while supplies last. In case of poor weather, the craft will be done inside the library at the tables in front of the Information Desk.

10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m: Historic Car Show at E. Grand River Ave
Join us on Saturday for the annual Howell Melon Festival Classic Car Show.

Be part of a fun, local tradition right at the heart of the festival!  The Howell Farmer’s Market  features the finest in locally grown produce, bedding plants, flowers, homemade goods and crafts.  Come shop local and join in the fun Sunday morning.
