PARADES:
Feature Parade
The Feature Parade is held each day at 10:00 AM and is strictly for items belonging to the year's feature. Those interested in entering and driving something through this special daily parade are asked to stop in the Registration Office and make sure their entries are registered.
Threshermen Parade
The Threshermen Parade is held each day at 4:30 PM and lasts for close to an hour. Entries include antique trucks, autos and tractors, military vehicles, color guard, and other miscellaneous items.
TRACTOR PULLS:
Saturday Night Fun Pull
The Saturday Night Fun Pull takes place on Saturday evening after the Threshermen Parade (right around 6:00 PM) at the north end of the field activities at the track. This special event is only for tractors belonging to the year's feature. Even though we keep it simple, with no entrance fees or prizes, this pull proves to be tons of fun for all!
Antique Amateur Tractor Pull
An Antique Amateur Tractor Pull is held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Participants are asked to read through the Rules & Regulations, then print the Registration Form, fill it out completely, and bring it along. (Copies of both are also available onsite the morning of the pull.) The cost is $20 per hook, payable at the time of registration. Gift certificates are presented to the winners in each division.
CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES:
Old Fashioned Games
Old-fashioned games for children of all ages are held each day at 1:00 PM south of the Petting Barn area. Lasting about an hour, the games vary from hoop rolling and sack races to water balloon toss and watermelon seed spitting. A corn or sawdust pile with coins inside wrap up the activities each day, with children getting to keep whatever amount they find! There is no need to sign up in advance - have your kids just show up, join in the fun, and continue adding Threshermen ribbons to their growing collections!
Pedal Pull
A Pedal Pull is held on Saturday at 10 a.m. to the west of the Ridge Runners. This is a free event for all children between the ages of 4 and 12, and is sponsored and run by the B.V. County Farm Bureau. There are four age groups: 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12. Each child receives a participant ribbon, and the winner in all classes receives a trophy. Tractors will be switched for each class, so they are size-appropriate. A table is set up in the area for children to sign up on Saturday morning.
Potato Patch
Join us after the Old Fashioned Games for potato-digging fun! Watch the draft horses pull the potato digger through the plot, then stand back while the children gather the potatoes! Sacks are provided.
Scavenger Hunt
This is an activity offered for the young and old alike. Participants can choose to use the Eye Spy Picture Bingo on one side, or the riddles on the other. These pictures and riddles help both children and families discover the many activities and displays around the grounds. Sharp eyes and eager feet are all that are required. Guests are encouraged to stop in the Gas Station building anytime throughout the weekend to pick up the fun, free activity sheet.
