STETSON
Stetson arrived at AAE the first week of October. He was left in the care of family after he lost his human mom a couple years ago. Earlier this year, his horse sister passed away, and since then, Stetson’s family said his health began to decline. We assume there were other factors that contributed to his condition. He was not getting the diet he needed, and he probably couldn’t process the hay he was fed. He was alone on a large property with little interaction and no other equine friends. It’s also likely he had not any dental or hoof care for some time.
Stetson's initial bloodwork was pretty good, indicating his organs were good. As soon as he stabilized, Stetson had his dental and hoof care, vaccines, and deworming, and he got a microchip.
Until he is ready for adoption, Stetson needs a monthly sponsor (or a team of sponsors) to help support his care costs. Learn more about becoming a monthly sponsor or make a one time donation to help horses like Stetson.
