Governor Gordon, along with Secretary of State Chuck Gray, Auditor Kristi Racines, Treasurer Curt Meier, and Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder, was sworn in by Wyoming Chief Justice Kate Fox on January 2 in the Capitol Rotunda. During his Second Inaugural Address, the Governor spoke of the importance of education and economic diversification. He called on citizens to advocate for, and protect, Wyoming values and encouraged engaging with others holding differing views.
“The undeniable fact is that our founders did not leave us a fire-and-forget, plug-and-play government,” Governor Gordon said. “Our government requires participation and effort and compromise. We must work together to begin this next chapter.”

Governor Gordon's 2023 State of the State Address to the Legislature focused on Wyoming's people, and the numerous opportunities Wyoming has to lead the nation through innovation. The Governor's supplemental budget reflects his goal of addressing inflation, saving for the future and making strategic investments for the future.

The conservation efforts of two Wyoming ranches will be highlighted in an upcoming episode of Wild Kingdom. The Lazy BV and Pitchfork ranches have worked with state and federal officials to create a safe habitat for the black-footed ferret.
