This Month at ACES

The Wisdom & Medicine of the Earth: Healing the Planet & Ourselves

ACES is partnering with Cambridge University psychologist Lindsay Branham for a transformative workshop that will equip you with practical tools to explore your own relationship with the Earth. Learn meaningful ways to connect with nature that can have large impacts on your personal, mental and physical health. Through daily short exercises following the workshop, you will learn how to integrate these connections into your life.

About the Instructor:

Lindsay Branham is a PhD candidate in psychology at the University of Cambridge investigating the human-Earth relationship. Lindsay is also an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and has spent 15 years documenting ecological and human crises around the world.

November - April, Monthly

Join us on the first Tuesday of the month from November through April and discover the joy of birding! We will learn about non-breeding plumages, winter foraging strategies, and behaviors of migratory and resident birds.

ACES Winter Speaker Series

January - March, Join us for our winter speaker series: Potbelly Perspectives, Naturalist Nights and Wild Perspectives. Adam Frisch and his son, Felix, will kick off Potbelly Perspectives on Wednesday, January 4 with tales from the campaign trail for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District.

Join an ACES Naturalist Guide for a snowshoe tour through the Castle Creek Valley! Learn about animal tracking, valley geology, avalanches, birdlife, winter habitats, and subalpine ecology, and enjoy lunch at the Pine Creek Cookhouse.
