Fall Ministry Kickoff
With summer ending and fall approaching, Bethel is kicking off several ministries that will help you engage in the life of the church and experience community. If you are looking for a place to be known and connect, sign up for small groups, men’s or women’s ministry, Awana programming for kids, Verge student ministry, or Steps recovery and care. Stop by the ministry tables located in the Commons of your campus to learn more.
Women of the Word
Women of the Word (“WOW”) is the discipleship ministry for women at Bethel. This weekly Bible study is offered in both the fall and spring to women who want to grow closer to God by studying the Bible. Our hope is that eventually, all women would find themselves in WOW, digging deep into God’s Word and doing life together with other women who love Jesus. We offer several options including mornings with childcare, evenings, Zoom, and independent study. We will be studying the first half of Matthew, and the cost for the study material is $25. Fall Steps
Steps is a recovery and care ministry that exists to offer practical steps, care, encouragement, accountability, and community to anyone struggling with life hurts. Steps will use the best of all programs, building on gospel truth and integrating the 12 steps as the basis for finding freedom and victory in Christ. We will have groups designed to tackle and overcome addiction, anxiety, marriage issues, depression, and a host of distress. Steps will meet at the Crown Point campus on Monday evenings, beginning September 11, at 6:30pm, for a 12-week session. It will include a time of community, live large-group teaching, and small-group discussion and accountability each week. There will also be a limited online option. We hope you will join us.
Weekly Need: $125,000
Received This Week: $99,920
Year-to-Date Budget Deficit: $204,529
Thank you for your partnership. It is because of you we are able to share the gospel. Your giving makes a difference!
Verge Nights
All middle and high school students are invited to join us for Verge Nights! We will be meeting on Sunday nights, beginning August 27 at 6:00pm at our Crown Point and Hobart/Portage campuses. At the Cedar Lake campus, middle schoolers will be meeting on Tuesdays at 6:30pm beginning August 29, and high schoolers will be meeting on Wednesdays as 6:30pm beginning August 30. We hope to see you there!
Awana Registration
With the fall quickly approaching, Bethel’s Kids Ministry is hard at work preparing for another great year. Onsite registration for Awana happens in-person on August 30 from 5:00-7:00pm at all campuses. This Wednesday night program involves elements of teaching, Scripture memorization, and fun activities for kids. It is a tremendous opportunity for children (ages 4 years before 8/1 through 5th grade) to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
Women on a Mission
All women of Bethel Church are invited to Women on a Mission, happening Saturday, September 30 as we engage in service projects around the church and the community. We will meet in the Crown Point campus at 8:00am. A continental breakfast will be served. Click the link below to register.
