Kaiser Unions went on strike twice in 12 months. The latest walkout led to a 'Historic' Deal

During the week of October 16th, Kaiser Permanente avoided another massive strike by raising the salaries of approximately 68,000 California workers by 21% through the year 2027. This agreement follows a threat by Kaiser employees' unions earlier this month to walk out for the third consecutive time for the year. Kaiser Permanente employees walked out twice due to low pay, burnout, and understaffing, disrupting care and forcing the health giant to hire thousands of temporary workers.

Many industries are facing pay compensation issues as a result of the threat of strikes, including the healthcare industry. The Biden Administration is continuing to pursue solutions actively. To read more, click here!
