Origami Flowers and Animals

Join us for this in-person Origami workshop led by teaching artist Sophia Chizuco at the Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos on Tuesday, April 11th, from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Printmaking, Reuse, and Recycle Materials

Tuesday, April 18th, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

In this workshop hosted by Tammy Wofsey, participants will learn all about the printmaking process, including key vocabulary words, and getting up close and personal with materials. Students will learn the concept of making an image and will use found and recycled materials to identify texture and pattern to create artwork. RSVP here.

Printmaking and Paper Marbling

Thursday, April 20th, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

In this workshop, hosted by Tammy Wofsey, participants will learn how to create marbleized paper. Once students learn the process of paper marbling, they will print on top of this paper to create beautiful unique prints to take home. RSVP here.

In this workshop, students will learn the basic concepts of still photography, and get an understanding of how to use a camera in manual mode.

Introduction to Portrait Photography

Thursday, May 4^th, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

In this workshop, students will learn basic concepts of portrait photography, including how to use light and the effects it can have on a photograph.

Ages 11 & up. No previous art experience is required. All materials will be provided, free of cost. Light refreshments and snacks will also be available. RSVP for all workshops now to save your spot!

APRIL 11th - ARTISTS SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP SERIES (ASWS)
"THE CRAFT OF GRANTWRITING FOR ARTISTS"

Join us for our next Artist Sustainability Workshop Series (ASWS), "The Craft of Grantwriting for Artists", a three-part online workshop series taking place on Tuesdays April 11th, April 25th, and May 2nd, from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. Participants will gain tips and insight into writing a successful grant proposal including how to find funders, knowing the building blocks of a proposal, and how to write a strong LOI (letter of intent).
