Join us for the Closing Reception of Against the Grain: The Stories We Tell Ourselves on Wednesday, February 21st from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The exhibition brings together work from contemporary artists who challenge and explore the complicated nature of record creation in the contexts of both institutional archives and the emotional preservation of memory.

MARCH - ARTIST SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP SERIES (ASWS)
THE ART OF PRESENTATION: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO BUILDING, CRAFTING, AND PERFECTING YOUR PORTFOLIO

In The Art of Presentation, performing, media, and visual artists will learn how to build a compelling portfolio that will make a lasting impact on prospective clients, employers, or collaborators.

This three-part virtual Artist Sustainability Workshop Series (ASWS) will take place on Tuesdays, between March 12th and March 26th from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM via Zoom.

THRIVE IN PLACE!

BCA is thrilled to partner with ArtBuilt, the Entertainment Community Fund, and other Arts Councils to bring THRIVE IN PLACE! to communities city-wide. This free online class uses artist-centric tools and straightforward language to help artists of all disciplines navigate their financial life with creativity, clarity and strength.

Thrive in Place! will be presented a few times a year. The first offering of 2024 will take place on Wednesday, February 28th at 6:00 PM

The Bardekova Ensemble performs music written or arranged for a woodwind quintet across the Bronx. The ensemble contains flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French Horn and has performed as a trio, quartet, and quintet. Watch a Performance.
