  • In Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Republicans Dave McCormick and Eric Hovde were perceived as smart picks without any of the baggage of, say, a reality TV doctor. McCormick and Hovde have the added benefit of personal wealth which they could use to juice their campaigns….each candidate is facing accusations of carpet-baggage, with both coming under scrutiny for their out-of-state residencies.
