Collection will be begin the week of Monday, January 9, 2023

Special collections for the purpose of recycling whole Christmas trees have been scheduled. The first Christmas trees collection will begin the week of Monday, January 9, 2023. The last Christmas trees collection will begin the week of Monday, January 16, 2023. The collection will be on your refuse collection day of this week. Trees must be placed at the curb for collection by 7:00 a.m. There will be one pass per street.

The collection at the following Condominiums, will be only on Friday, January 13, 2023 and Friday, January 20, 2023: Brookside, Bryrewood, Burr Meadow, Chapel Hill, Cinnamon Springs, Mill River, Parkview South, Pleasant Hills, Pleasant Valley, Plum Ridge, Strawbridge, and Westage Condominiums. The Town’s contractor will collect trees only from those areas designated by the association for this purpose.

Trees placed in plastic bags will not be picked up.

For those who cannot wait until January 9, 2023 or miss the special pickups, Christmas trees can be collected with refuse if branches are trimmed back 8 inches from the stem, and tree lengths do not exceed 4 feet. Please place branches inside plastic bags, and place bags and stem in the refuse container.
