When: Nov 14th- Dec 12th, Athens Services will be delivering THREE new 96-gal waste containers to residents to replace customer owned containers at no cost. Expect to receive 1 BLACK, 1 GREEN, & 1 BLUE container.

Why: California passed several environmental laws, such as SB 1383, which requires all California Cities to comply with specific waste, recycling, and organics collection services. As a result, the City and Athens have worked closely to develop new programs that best serve Glendora’s needs.

What’s Next: Beginning Dec 12th, Athens will begin servicing the new containers for automated collection. Customers will no longer be able to use their old containers. Athens will collect and properly dispose of any old containers at no additional charge. To have your old containers removed, place the empty containers upside down curbside on your service day, and Athens will remove them.
