Rain Helps, But the Drought is Not Over

We’re off to a great start this water year as much of the State has observed significant rainfall this past month. However, our groundwater basin remains critically low. As of January 13th, 2023, the water basin is less than ten (10) feet away from an all-time low. 

This is a friendly reminder that we are still under State directive to reduce our City’s overall water use by 20% compared to 2020. We have done a great job in the last 8 months in meeting our water conservation goals. We hope you will help us ‘make conservation a way of life’ and continue to use water efficiently in the months and years ahead.
