From: City Of KellerRain cancels tonight's Yappy Hour
For the second week, the Yappy Hour dogs and brews socializing event has been canceled due to rainy weather.
To make up for the consecutive cancellations, next week, we'll be giving out beer samples from not one, not two, but three awesome breweries!
We assure you that Keller Parks & Rec remains geared up for the paw-someness the weekly series offers area dog owners in March, and we hope to see you at the K-9 Pointe Dog Park (405 Rufe Snow Dr.) March 16, 23, and 30.
Featured Breweries
2: Independence Brewery – Rain Delay
9: Bishop Cider – Rain Delay
16: Wild Acre
23: Sierra Nevada
30: Shannon Brewery
Community survey responses due Friday, March 17
As our City Council and staff begin preparing for next year's budget, we want to hear from you! This year's community survey wraps up next week, so be sure to get your feedback in as soon as possible.
We invite you to take 7-10 minutes to tell us how we're doing as a community and organization, and what priorities you have for Keller's future. Thank you in advance for your insights!
Change your clocks, check your smoke alarms this weekend!
Don't forget to "spring forward" an hour on Sunday! With the start of Daylight Saving Time, we also encourage you to change out the batteries in your smoke alarms and test them. Working smoke detectors can cut the chance of dying in a residential fire in half, so we also recommend:
- Ensuring you have a smoke alarm on every level of your home outside of sleeping areas
- Installing an alarm in each bedroom and keeping bedroom doors shut while you sleep
- Teaching children what the smoke alarm sounds like and what to do when they hear it
- Preparing and practicing an escape plan from each area of your home
