From: City Of KellerField of Honor wraps up midday Sunday
Area residents have just a few days left to visit the North Texas Field of Honor display. The installation of 1,776 full-sized American flags on the front lawn of Keller Town Hall honoring veterans, active and reserve duty military, first responders and medical professionals will be disassembled midday Sunday, Nov. 13.
The field will also host one more special event before the week’s end; Boy Scout Troop 32 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. For more information about this project, a partnership between the city and the Rotary Club of Keller, visit www.ntxfoh.org.
Keller salutes its veteran residents, employees
This Friday, we honor those who honored our country with the highest form of service. We owe our veterans our respect, our gratitude and our freedom.
We may not be able to serve our veterans the same way they served us, but we can thank them for defending this country and its values. This Veterans Day, the City of Keller extends our appreciation to American veterans throughout the world — and right here within our organization.
Saturday festival features art in many forms
We hope you can join us this Saturday as we celebrate the joys of art with our fifth annual Keller Art Walk.
This free community event staged in historic Old Town Keller will feature live music and performances, vendors, Plein-air artists painting on site, and a kid-friendly zone. Attendees can also enjoy the area’s collection of 10 rotating sculptures and the restaurants, shops and services that call Old Town home.
Keller Art Walk will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, near 114 W. Hill St. For more information, visit www.cityofkeller.com/artwalk.

2nd Annual State of the City set for Thursday
What's on the horizon for the City of Keller? Join us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Keller Town Hall for our second annual State of the City presentation to find out!
Mayor Armin Mizani, members of the City Council, and staff will be on hand for a discussion focused on this year's budget, Council's priorities and accomplishments, and the challenges and opportunities facing Texas's Most Family Friendly City.
Regional shelter partnership puts pets first
This is Animal Shelter Awareness Week, and we want to take this opportunity to draw attention to the incredible work being done at the Keller Regional Animal Adoption Center!
First, did you know Keller Regional is managed by the Humane Society of North Texas? The area nonprofit began partnering with us in 2013, and they handle the everyday operations of the facility, including, but not limited to, animal adoptions and vaccinations.
Our partnership with HSNT puts the adoption process into the hands of some fantastic professionals who have built relationships with other shelters, rescue groups, and donors who assist with everything from extra blankets and toys to emergency medical services for the animals in their care. Across all their locations through September of this year, HSNT has rescued 345 animals from cruelty, managed 6,682 spay/neuter surgeries, treated 84 dogs for heartworm, and found homes for 6,156 animals.
If you are toying with the idea of adding a pet to your family, we encourage you to check out the Keller Regional Animal Adoption Center at 330 Rufe Snow Drive. For hours and pet availability, visit www.hsnt.org/keller-regional.
Keller Pointe pool nears re-opening date
After a year of what felt like non-stop setbacks, the indoor pool at The Keller Pointe is nearly finished! Some final touches are still on the way, including sanitizing and getting everything refilled and double-checked. We hope to share the official re-opening date soon.
Thank you for your limitless patience with this project, everybody; we promise we've felt every frustration along with you. Can't wait to make a new splash!
School donation keeps Keller cops caffeinated
Our officers will be sipping more coffee flavors than we realized existed in the months ahead thanks to an incredible donation of 5,244 K-Cups courtesy of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School's students and their families. Thank you!
We also hear that the 7th-grade class made the largest donation and earned themselves an ice cream party. Congrats, y'all.
