The Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) is pleased to host an Open House as a way for community members to come and share their thoughts on the City’s Open Space and Recreation Plan.
The open house will take place on Thursday, November 17, from 6:30 — 7:30 p.m, at Tierney Hall at located in the Milano Center, 201 West Foster Street and will begin with a brief presentation followed by an opportunity to visit different stations and provide feedback to inform the goals and objectives of the 2022 Open Space and Recreation Plan.
Every seven years, the City updates its Open Space and Recreation Plan to assess the condition of our parks and open spaces and guide the expansion, enhancement, and preservation of open space and recreation opportunities throughout the City. With the current plan set to expire at the end of 2022, the Office of OPCD is seeking the public’s input on goals, objectives, and action items for the next 7 years.
“Melrose is fortunate to have a wide range of recreational opportunities and significant areas of open space which contribute to the high quality of life enjoyed by the community,” said Denise Gaffey, City Planner and Director of the OPCD. “Please join us on November 17th and share your thoughts on how we can continue to enhance, promote, protect, and celebrate our natural and recreation assets.”
All are welcome to attend. Comments may also be emailed to Maya Noviski at [email protected] through November 30, 2022.
