North Port is for Foodies in 2023

In his 2023 State of the City Address, City Manager Jerome Fletcher called local business "the lifeblood of our economy and community." North Port cherishes the improved quality-of-life that new businesses provide our residents. We are excited to introduce numerous new eateries and retailers into the City.

The crew at Anna Maria Oyster Bar have begun their renovations of the former Family Table restaurant, planning to open their North Port location by spring 2023. The article below highlights John Horne's experience with the North Port community.

For some food on-the-go, welcome Do Some Donuts. All the way from Ohio, catch Gretta and Scott McGrail in and around North Port during the winter months. These snowbirds take flight back to Ohio once the weather warms up. Their food truck serves coffee and specialty mini donuts.

You can view their upcoming schedule on their web page, link here.

In other news, stay tuned for an announcement on the expansion of two of our local food trucks. We are proud that our City is a place where mobile food vendors can arrive and thrive.

Finally, our City's second Aldi just broke ground on South Toledo Blade Boulevard, which will mirror the existing layout of the Aldi on South Salford Boulevard and Route 41. At 19,000 square feet, this grocer will be a welcome retail option for the City.

That's just January — stay tuned to see what the coming months have to offer. We look forward to seeing all the quality of life improvements our City's entrepreneurial community has in store
