Florida Public Relations Association names North Port Parks & Recreation Department a Golden Image award winner

The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) presented North Port Parks & Recreation with two awards for the ‘Experience Vintage Florida’ Warm Mineral Springs Park campaign at the annual Golden Image Awards during the 83rd FPRA Annual Conference. The Golden Image Awards have become a standard of excellence in the State of Florida with winners demonstrating the very best examples of innovation, planning, and design.

The Department took home an Award of Distinction, which is presented to entries that meet the standards of excellence set by a panel of judges. They were also presented with a Judges’ Award, which is given to entries that achieve maximum return on investment.

“It is a great honor to be recognized by highly regarded public relations professionals for our efforts to successfully increase public awareness and visitation to Warm Mineral Springs Park. I am very proud of our team for their efforts,” said Sandy Pfundheller, Director of Parks & Recreation.

The Golden Image Awards are judged by a team of three judges who are selected based on experience and expertise. All appointed judges must be Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and have won an award in the Golden Image Awards competition or similar awards program. To qualify for judging, an award nomination must incorporate sound public relations research and planning. Entries also must meet the highest standard of production, execution, and evaluation of results and budget.
