Sergeant Chavez has been with the Odessa Police Department for 15 years.  Currently, he's a Supervisor with the Patrol Division.

"My goal is to lead others in this fight against evil.  Times are tough right now and we must stand up and make a difference.  We will continue to be vigilant, and bring peace to our community," said Sergeant Chavez.

He is also fluent in Spanish which helps tremendously.  His hope is that people will focus on coming together and being united.
