From: City Of OdessaThe City of Odessa, in partnership with the Salvation Army of Odessa and the American Red Cross, has set up and opened a warming shelter for anyone that needs a place to stay warm during the severe Arctic temperatures that are forecasted for our area later this week.
The shelter will open today, Tuesday, December 20th at 5 p.m. and will remain open through Monday, December 26th at 8 a.m.
The shelter is located at the Salvation Army facility located at 810 E. 11th Street.

In addition to the shelter located at the Salvation Army facility, The Ector County Sheriff’s Office has also sanctioned the Ector County Sheriff's Office West Side Annex Building, located at 2261 W Sycamore, (Next to Kellus Turner Park) as a warming shelter.
That shelter will begin Thursday, December 15th at 7 p.m. and remain open through Christmas Day, December 25th.
The building will be open for anyone that has lost heat or needs a warm shelter during this Arctic blast. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact the Ector County Sheriff’s Office at (432) 335-3050. The shelter will be secured by the Ector County Sheriff's Office.
