The City is accepting applications for one Trustee to serve on the Antelope Valley Mosquito Abatement & Vector Control Board for a term to expire in January 2025.
Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 4 pm at 42624 6th Street East, Lancaster, CA. Applicants must reside within the boundaries of the Antelope Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District, must be registered to vote, and reside within the City of Palmdale boundaries. Applicants should be able to devote the necessary time for meetings and Board events. Trustees receive $100 per meeting.
The Antelope Valley Mosquito Abatement & Vector Control Board was formed in 1958 and has been protecting the health and well-being of its citizens and visitors, improving enjoyment of outdoor recreation, and enhancing economic development through mosquito abatement.
If appointed, the Antelope Valley Mosquito Abatement & Vector Control District will require a Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 to be completed within 30 days of appointment.

A hard copy of the completed application may also be e-mailed to [email protected], hand delivered, or mailed (postmarked by the deadline) directly to the Office of the City Clerk, 38300 Sierra Hwy., Ste. C, Palmdale, CA 93550 by the Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 deadline before 6 pm.
